An Enterprise Software Company Running HR on Paper
Galaxy Software sold digital transformation to restaurants, hotels, and retail chains. Internally, their own HR still ran on fingerprint terminals, Excel, and physical forms.
No employee visibility
Leave balance, payslips, attendance records — all required asking HR to look something up in Excel manually.
Manual leave approvals
Physical forms, handwritten signatures, and HR routing. Routine requests took days with no visibility into where they sat.
Fingerprint-to-Excel pipeline
HR manually compiled attendance from fingerprint machine exports. No live data, no shift context, no photo proof.
Fragmented employee data
Work history, tax, disciplinary records, training, and documents across separate systems and filing cabinets.
Zero manager visibility
No real-time team attendance dashboard. Managers waited for HR to compile reports after the fact.
ERP product requirement
The internal tool had to be flexible enough to become a Galaxy ERP product for external clients.

This wasn't an attendance app. I designed the complete employee self-service experience from onboarding to offboarding.
Employee Journey — First Day to Daily Routine
Mapped the employee experience end-to-end to identify where the paper-heavy process broke down and where the platform resolved each friction point.

Two flows that drove the most daily usage and the most previous friction. Every edge case was mapped before any screen was drawn.

Every role sees only what they need. The IA was designed for ERP configurability from day one — different companies, hierarchies, leave policies.
What the Platform Replaced
Full login flow including company code entry, credentials, biometric setup, Face ID, and fingerprint management.
Platform Screens
Selected screens across onboarding, home, attendance, leave, compensation, announcements, HR records, and performance.
Home dashboard widgets and birthday notification modal.
Clock in/out flow with location, mode, shift details, and photo verification.
Calendar views, filters, and shift detail drill-downs.
